The Story

The embroidered neckline on the back of this dress embodies Jeanne Lanvin's vision of the Ultimate Chic and is inspired by numerous pieces from the archives, where the intricate detailing on the back contrasts with the simplicity of the front of the dress. This spectacular embroidery requires more than 250 hours of handwork by eight artisans. Once the embroidery is finished, they need an additional 20 hours to complete the complex assembly of the dress. These magnificent details are completed by a grosgrain ribbon at the waist, as used by Jeanne Lanvin to finish the interior of her Haute Couture dresses and to enhance her embroidery pieces. The length of this dress and the flow of its satin create a silhouette that is both soft and structured, for an evening outfit with timeless elegance.
